KABELMANN

For our second collaboration with Paul Kalkbrenner, I once again developed the full concept from the ground up. At the heart of the idea was KABELMANN – a man tethered to never-ending cables. An homage to the artist’s analogue ways of making electronic music. Paul Kalkbrenner loved the concept so much, he ended up naming not one, but two tracks after our main character, Kabelmann.

What started as a music video evolved into a full-blown short film. I had an especially good time co-writing the script with the director – shaping a story that’s as offbeat and wired-in as the music itself. The film premiered at the CICLOPLE festival 2024.
